A good suggestion by Pauline; a place to discuss books you are reading or want to read and discuss authors that you like/dislike. If it kicks off then we can think of adding a book room!! Jolo xx

awwww yep ellie i agree
I have finished James Patterson's "Cross Country" and Martina Cole's "The Business" - they were both brilliant.
Now I am going to read the Berryman number by Patterson - i think it might have been his first novel...

oh great a book corner!
as mentioned i used to love Malory Towers and still have my full set from the early 70's when i got into them. love Harry Potter too. i also still read for inspiration another childrens book called when Hitler stole pink rabbit, which is Judith Kerr. it is her biography as her family escape nazi Germany and was very inspirational to me as a child and i still enjoy it now. she wrote the Mog childrens books and the tiger who came to tea. Judy Blume books taught me about being a teenager a 'normal' one and i learnt alot of my hang ups i wasn't alone with.
now for my grown up reading. i love Dickens also Laurie Lee's cider with Rosie and Iam Rankin's Rebus books
mostly i just pick up books that have a good title or eye catching cover regardless of the author.
i also like the Torey Hayden books and Kathy Glass but tbh i am getting a bit fed up with the whole 'true life' stories that have been churned out over the past 10 years. it almost undermines a survivors experiences cos the publishers edit them so much.
i am currently reading dying to diet, which is a self help book
i hope we do get a book forum Topsy x

Aww yea.. Enid Blyton was one of my favourite's as well, especially the magic faraway tree, was that the one were there a tinpan man in it who made loads of noise when they he was walking?? Loved the mystery series and famous five, all of them really. Think i'll have to go and look on ebay see if i can find any of her old books!!
Now love Terry Pratchet and David Eddings - one of my favourite series of books is the Belgariad.
